Scrip Fundraiser
Scrip is simply a word that means "substitute money" - in other words, Scrips are gift certificates from national and local retailers. They're the same gift certificates that you buy at the store. Many popular retailers participate in our Scrip program including Stop & Shop, The Gap, Shell, Outback Restaurant, Home Depot, Panera Bread, CVS Pharmacy, Cheesecake Factory, Barnes & Noble and many, many others. You're probably asking yourself how these stores help us raise money. It's simple - scrip participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates, at full face value, to the FW PTO through the Great Lakes Scrip Center. Francis Wyman retains a certain percentage of all scrip sales. Everybody wins:
The beauty of scrip is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for our school without spending a single additional penny. Scrip can be used for just about any household purchase, such as:
The only work for you is to think ahead about what shopping you may do in the next month and purchase the scrips from us instead of paying the stores directly. These gift cards also make great birthday and holiday gifts. They are exactly the same gift cards you buy at the stores. Think of them for your regular shopping and your special gift purchases. The Francis Wyman PTO Scrip Program promises to be a simple and effective fundraising program. For more information visit the "Forms" section on the PTO website. Our first order run is over for the gift card program. We will be doing another round for the upcoming holidays - stay tuned! Any questions? Please email us at info 'at' franciswymanpto.org.
